Hallo,
habe in Ihrer Vokabelsammlung gefunden:

' was hat sie wieder gemacht, dass alle so ärgerlich sind?- what's she been up to [oder fam gone and done] this time to make everyone so angry?

1) what's ist doch die Abkürzung für ' what is'
2) sollte es nicht ' what she has been up to ...' heißen ?

Habe mich gerade mit den 'Zeiten' beschäftigt, daher meine diesbezügliche Frage.

Danke

Hi
that " 's " can also mean "has" (or a couple of other words...)

you can find lists of grammatical "contractions" as they are called, here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contraction_%28grammar%29#English
and here:
http://grammar.about.com/od/words/a/EnglishContractions.htm

thanks for the question!

Da das eher eine Grammatik-Frage ist habe ich es mal entsprechend verschoben.

Danke für den Hinweis auf "contractions" in der engl. Grammatik.
