"ständig wachsend" oder "ständig zunehmend" - " a spiralling desperation" = "eine ständig wachsende/zunehmende Verzweiflung"; "rapidly spiralling demand" hier würde ich von einer "rasch wachsenden Nachfrage" sprechen; "spiralling violence" = "ständig wachsende/zunehmende Gewalt". Im Wort "spiralling" steckt der Gedanke, dass sich etwas wie in einer Spirale hochschraubt, sprich wächst/sich vergrößert/zunimmt.
