Soviet literature was accorded an important role in the realisation of the ideological precepts and the cultural policy of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany.

Das Dissertationsprojekt untersucht die Zensurpolitik der DDR im Hinblick auf sowjetische belletristische Literatur in den 1970er und 1980er Jahren.
Der Sowjetliteratur wurde eine wichtige Funktion bei der Umsetzung der ideologischen Vorgaben und der Durchsetzung der Kulturpolitik der SED zugeschrieben.
