www.slf.chDiese sind eine Weiterentwicklung des bereits aus dem Mittelalter bekannten Verfahrens des Naturselbstdrucks ( verbürgt beispielsweise bei Thomas Walgenstein u.a. ) . Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts wurde das Verfahren als Fotogramm ( Lászlo Moholy-Nagy, El Lissitzky ), Schadografie ( Christian Schad ) bzw. Rayografie ( Man Ray ) für die künstlerische Fotografie wiederentdeckt.
Auch noch heute wird das Prinzip als Laborexperiment im Fotolabor von Fotoamateuren sowie von einigen Fotokünstlern durchgeführt.
Talbot selbst entwickelte seine Verfahren zur Kalotypie weiter ( Patent 1841 ), die später ihm zu Ehren Talbotypie genannt wurde und schuf damit ein weiteres fotografisches Negativ-Verfahren.

The research team set up a laboratory experiment to test their findings in respect of the processes occurring on the ocean floor.
“The Max Planck Institute‘s microbiological collection with its unique cultures of methane oxidizing microorganisms makes it possible to exactly reproduce such specific life conditions” says Max-Planck microbiologist Thomas Holler.
