Auf zerklüfteten Bergen steht Christus in einer Mandorla mit den adorierenden Propheten Elias, der seine unbedeckten Hände ausstreckt, und Moses, der sich mit verhüllten Händen neigt.
Am Fuße des mittleren Berges bezeugen die drei Apostel Petrus ( links ) und Jakobus ( rechts ), die ihr Gesicht vor den Strahlen der göttlichen Glorie schützen, sowie Johannes, der kopfüber zu Boden gestürzt ist, das Geschehen.
