Mit Vorlage der Schwurgerichtsanklage vom 21. Juli 1952 beantragte die Staatsanwaltschaft beim Landgericht ( LG ) Osnabrück die Eröffnung des Hauptverfahrens gegen Bernhard Rakers.
Grundlage der Anklageschrift waren die Vernehmungsniederschriften von 31 Zeugen, die im Rahmen des Vorverfahrens vernommen worden waren.
Mit Beschluss vom 20. August 1952 eröffnete das LG Osnabrück das Hauptverfahren.

The bill of indictment was based on the transcripts of the examination of 31 witnesses who had been questioned in the context of the pretrial proceedings.
The LG Osnabrück instituted the main proceedings with the order dated August 20, 1952.
