Friedrich Krotz ist Diplommathematiker (Universität Karlsruhe) und Diplomsoziologie (Universität Hamburg); er hat in Soziologie promoviert und sich in Kommunikationswissenschaft und Journalistik habilitiert.
Er hat an den Universität des Saarlandes als Mathematiker, an der Universität Hamburg als Soziologe und an der FU Berlin im Bereich der Politikforschung gearbeitet sowie an der Fachhochschule für öff.
