St. Jakobi wurde in der zweiten Hälfte des 13. Jahrhunderts als zweischiffige Hallenkirche erbaut.
Um das Jahr 1400 baute man sie einer dreischiffigen Kirche um, ohne dabei die Halle zu verbreitern.
