Das Datum von Spejbls Erstauftritt ist nicht genau bekannt, er erfolgte jedoch irgendwann im Herbst 1920 auf der Bühne des Puppentheaters im Handwerkerheim in Pilsen.
Spejbl trat als Partner des beliebten Pilsner Kaspers in einem Zugabestück der Kindervorstellung auf.
