Die Laubhütte geriet wieder in Vergessenheit und diente weiter als Werkzeugschuppen.
Als ich im Jahr 2000 mit einem Kollegen aus Israel eine Studienreise zu süddeutschen Landsynagogen unternahm, kamen wir auch nach Baisingen, wo wir die zu einer Gedenkstätte gestaltete Synagoge besichtigten und bei einem Rundgang durch das kleine Dorf auch auf die Laubhütte stießen.

The tabernacle again sank into near oblivion and served as a tool shed.
In the year 2000, when an Israeli colleague and I undertook a research trip to several rural synagogues in southern Germany, we viewed the one in Baisingen too, which had been converted into a memorial site; then, while taking a stroll around the village, we came across the tabernacle.
