Im Grand Canyon NP 12 Uhr angekommen, fuhren wir zuerst schnurstracks zum Mather Campground, in welchem wir einen Stellplatz über das Internet von Deutschland aus reserviert hatten ( $ 15 pro Nacht ).
Der Campingplatz ist sehr schön im Wald gelegen und großräumig angelegt.

Im Park gibt es nur zwei große Campingplätze, die sich sehr schnell füllen ( insbesondere in der Hochsaison ).

The first impression of the extents of the Grand Canyon was overwhelming, not comparable at all with pictures we had already seen on TV.
