The TUM Faculty of Medicine campus along the Isar is growing and a new research centre for translational oncology (TranslaTUM) is to be built.
Through close collaboration between research groups in medicine, science, and biomedical engineering, new treatment procedures will be developed for increasing the recovery prospects of cancer patients.

Its massing fills a large void in the urban fabric, yet the options for a future expansion of the MRI Clinic along the Isar remain flexible.

Durch den Neubau des TranslatumTUM als eigenständiger Baukörper soll das städtebauliche Umfeld zusammengefasst und in Form gebracht werden.
Eine große Lücke wird geschlossen, für die spätere Gestaltung und Weiterentwicklung des Klinikum rechts der Isar (MRI) besteht jedoch größtmögliche Flexibilität.
