Pınar Erincin wird 1983 in Krefeld geboren und ist seit ihrem 12. Lebensjahr regelmäßig in Film- und Fernsehproduktionen zu sehen.
Im Rahmen des Festivals „beyond belonging“ spielt sie 2006 in der Theaterinszenierung Schwarze Jungfrauen am Hebbel am Ufer.
Am Ballhaus Naunynstraße ist sie bisher unter anderem in Jenseits – Bist du schwul oder bist du Türke?, Bloodshed in Divercity oder in Verrücktes Blut zu sehen.

Das Forschungsprojekt befasst sich mit Prozessen der Konstruktion verwandtschaftlicher und ethnischer Zugehörigkeit (belonging) bei Kindern in einer Region im westafrikanischen Benin.
In den historisch gewachsenen Gesellschaften des Borgu werden diese Formen der Zugehörigkeit als wichtige Momente sozialer Selbst- und Fremdverortung gesehen, wobei Kinder als Bedingung und Garanten für die Kontinuität von Verwandtschaftsgruppen wie von ethnischen Gemeinschaften gelten.
