Prof. Frank Allgöwer, seit November 2007 Mitglied des SimTech-Direktoriums, wurde am 4. Juli 2012 im Rahmen der Jahresversammlung der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft ( DFG ) in Dortmund zu deren Vizepräsident gewählt.
Frank Allgöwer ist Leiter des Instituts für Systemtheorie und Regelungstechnik an der Universität Stuttgart .
Geboren 1962 in Heilbronn-Sontheim, studierte er von 1981 bis 1987 Technische Kybernetik und Angewandte Mathematik an der Universität Stuttgart und der University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), USA.
