Um die Bedeutung der beschalten Amöben als biogener Si-Pool in Böden zu erfassen, werden initiale und mature Standorte bewaldeter Ökosysteme untersucht.
Dabei sollen der protozoische Si-Pool quantifiziert und biotische und abiotische Faktoren analysiert werden, die die Amöben-Gemeinschaften und somit die Pool-Größe beeinflussen.
