Das nach dem Marie Curie Programm der EU benannte Fellowship-Programm COFUND der Freien Universität wird von der Dahlem Research School (DRS) verantwortet und hat die gleiche Ausrichtung wie die dort ebenfalls betreuten Fellowship-Programme POINT und REGAIN.
Neben der Finanzierung einer Postdoktoranden-Stelle erhalten die Geförderten die Möglichkeit, an Qualifizierungskursen teilzunehmen, und erhalten so Einblicke in die deutsche Forschungslandschaft und einen Überblick über Fördermöglichkeiten in Deutschland.
