It is indeed a treat to listen to Peter walking carefree, the little bird singing gaily, the duck quacking, the cat creeping, the grandfather exercising his authority and the hunters shooting in lockstep passed the wolf !
It is even more fun, of course, to play this music and at the end to escort the wolf fortissimo into the zoo.

Noch viel vergnüglicher ist es freilich, die ganze Musik selber zu spielen und am Ende den gefangenen Wolf fortissimo in den Zoo zu begleiten.
