As a result of the review, the Board will introduce a structured distribution policy which aims to provide shareholders with an annual return of 10% through a combination of tax efficient cash distribution and continued share buybacks.
As part of the review, the Board also assessed in depth a proposal made by the Vontobel Group which sought to restructure BB Biotech from its current status as a listed investment company into an unlisted investment fund.
