Mit Porträts von Affen oder Darstellungen schlafender Jünglinge, aber auch mit dem Einsatz ungewöhnlicher Techniken, wie dem Verwenden eines Photokopierers oder dem Umarbeiten früher Zeichnungen zu Collagen, stellt die Künstlerin gesellschaftliche Gemeinplätze und künstlerische Normen ironisierend in Frage und damit auch die traditionelle Vorstellung von Zeichnung überhaupt.
Die in enger Zusammenarbeit mit der Künstlerin aus den wichtigsten Werkgruppen aller Schaffensperioden ausgewählten Arbeiten werden ergänzt durch noch nie gezeigte, eigens für die Basler Ausstellung geschaffene Zeichnungen und Collagen.
