Lediglich in den täglichen Praktiken innerhalb der von Mary Louise Pratt so genannten „Kontaktzone“ und durch die Folgen des Amerikanisierungsprogramms, welche diese Klasse direkt zu marginalisieren versuchte, erkannten die nicaraguanischen Kollaborateure ihren Irrtum.
