Im Inneren der Labor- und Werkstattgebäude befand sich u. a. eine elektrische Umformeranlage.
Die beiden denkmalgeschützten Laboratoriums- und Werkstattgebäude wurden in den Jahren von 1950 bis 1990 vom Wachregiment „Felix Dzierzynski“ des Ministeriums für Staatssicherheit der DDR als KFZ-Werkstatt und Lager genutzt.
Mehrfache An- und Umbauten hatten das ursprüngliche Erscheinungsbild der beiden Gebäude fast bis zur Unkenntlichkeit verändert.
