Markus Lang hat REM · Consult im Jahr 2003 als unabhängiges Beratungsunternehmen in Hamburg gegründet und leitete es bis 2010 als Geschäftsführender Inhaber.
Von Oktober 2010 bis Mai 2013 war Markus Lang für den Lippeverband in Essen als Koordinator eines Netzwerks acht europäischer Projekte zum Klimawandel (SIC adapt!) im Nordwest-Europa-Programm tätig.
Seit Juni 2013 ist er bei Emschergenossenschaft / Lippeverband als Kundenbetreuer für Kommunen und infrastrukturelle Einrichtungen (z.B. Krankenhäuser, Revierparks, Justizvollzugsanstalten, Fußballstadien) tätig.

From October 2010 to May 2013 Markus Lang has been working for the Lippeverband in Essen, Germany, as coordinator of a network of eight european projects dealing with climate change (SIC adapt!) in the North West Europe program.
In June 2013 he assumed the position as account executive for municipalities and infrastructure facilities (e.g. hospitals, parks, prisons, stadiums) in the same organisation.

SIC adapt! wird in vier Arbeitspaketen durch 11 Aktivitäten abgewickelt.
