Weil das Volk unzufrieden ist mit dem bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt erlebten Gott, weil es Hunger hat oder durstig ist, weil es die Ödnis der Wüste nicht erträgt und zwischen dem Gewohnten – Ägypten – und dem Neuen – dem gelobten Land – steht, deswegen entwirft es einen eigenen Gott.
Der alte Gott passt mir nicht mehr , deswegen mache ich mir einen Neuen .
Oder im Evangelium könnte man dieses Ausweichen vor Gottes Willen so formulieren:
